I’ve always enjoyed photography.
Starting with holiday snaps as a child – waiting for the postie to drop the prints and a free film through the letterbox was all part of the anticipation.
Photography really became ‘a thing’ for me thanks to my high school art teacher who introduced our group to ‘photography as an art form’.
This directly led to studying photography for an additional 5 years once I finished high school.
I started working in photography when I was a student & have professional experience as a photography assistant with the AOP, a freelance photographer and a commercial photography consultant.
I have also written for international trade publications on the subject of commercial photography.
Along with photography – since childhood, my life has been immersed with motorbikes and martial arts.
I have owned, built, rode, photographed and written about motorbikes. They are an ongoing passion in my life.
The same can be said for martial arts.
I started training as a child and have just kept going.
I now hold the rank of expert level practitioner / international level instructor & run a community based club which serves the city that I live in.
I have been fortunate enough to cover both interests as photographic assignments.
